What the Quality Management System is?

Quality Management system (QMS) is determination of rules for co-ordination of all interacting activities and processes carried out in companies. The only aim is to reach of permanent quality of products or services.

Eight principles of Quality Management System


  • Orientation to client: companies depend on their clients. Therefore, they should understand todays and future clients’ requirements, they should meet the requirements and try to surpass their expectation.
  • Leadership: managers and other accountable employees advance the unity and strategy of the company. They create suitable working environment which is necessary for employees to co-operate for achievements of determined aims.
  • Involvement of employees: all employees working at each level are a base of each organization. Their involvement in aims of the company enables sourcing their knowledge and skills for development of the company.
  • Process approach: it is necessary to lead all activities as a process. Just by this way it is the most effective to reach all goals.
  • Systemic approach to management system: description, understanding and leading of system of all interactive processes focused on the aim helps to efficiency of the company.
  • Permanent improvement should be one of strategic aims of each company
  • Decision should be based on facts, evidence and analysis
